Ronniece Sirmons
CCEU Endorsed Candidate for PFT Middle Schools Representative
Ronniece Sirmons was a PFT Building Representative for over 7 years at Manchester PreK-8. She is currently a PFT Executive Board Member-At-Large. She has been involved in ER&D classes at the PFT and has been a PFT lead in a number of initiatives with the District including the co-teaching pilot, one of the initial RISE teams, new curriculum pilot, and design teams for the Empowering Effective Teachers partnership.
Last year, Ronniece introduced Joe Biden here in Pittsburgh, when he announced that he was running for President of the United States.
Ronniece Sirmons was born and raised in a union household in Pittsburgh and is part of a family of union members. Her dad was in the a painters’ union for over 30 years before he retired. She attended Pittsburgh Public Schools and all of her children attend PPS or are attending our city schools. She is in her 21st year of teaching and currently is an elementary and mid-level math teacher at Carmalt PreK-8.
