Krystal Roberts
CCEU Endorsed Candidate for PFT Executive Board Member-At-Large

Krystal is currently in her tenth year as a special education teacher at Pittsburgh Manchester. For the last six years, she has been a PFT Building Representative at Manchester.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Slippery Rock University and Master of Science in Education Degree in School Counseling from Duquesne University. As a special education teacher, she received the Pittsburgh Pirates All Star Teacher Award in 2019. This award is dedicated to honoring teachers who are making a difference in the lives of students across the region by providing engaging instruction and curriculum, encouraging lifelong learning, and inspiring a passion for education beyond the classroom and into the future. Also she received an award from the Pittsburgh Local Task Force Champion in 2018. This award recognizes the exceptional efforts and contributions to the lives and education of Pittsburgh Public Schools’ students and families. Over the years while at Manchester, Krystal has been a member of the Leadership Team, Discipline Committee, and Instructional Cabinet. She had the honor of being able to attend the 2020 AFT Convention.
